BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES)
BlackBerry handhelds are integrated in the e-mail system organized through a package of software called BlackBerry Enterprise System (BES). BES can be used by network-based e-mail Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino and Novell GroupWise. Specific to individual users, they can use wireless e-mail service provided by the provider without having to install BES.
The individual user can use the BlackBerry Internet Solution without having to install BES on their smartphone. BES is intended for corporate customers with a large scope of business. This software integrates all BlackBerry smartphones to an organization with an existing enterprise systems. The advantage gained is to expand wireless communications and corporate data to the active users in a safe manner.
